AIPMT 2015 Exam Pattern & Summary

All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) will be done by Central Panel of Secondary Education (CBSE) relative to Medical Council of India (MCI). It is an offline exam and applicants have to indicate their solutions on an OMR page utilizing blue ball-point pen or dark. Of all the entrance exams for medical admissions, AIPMT will be the greatest & most prestigious. It's conducted annually. All the individuals planning to follow MBBS, BDS classes in the best colleges of the country (except from Andhra Pradesh and states Jammu) have to qualify the exam.

The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance test, declaration of result and providing merit list to the Directorate General of Health Services, New Delhi (DGHS) and participating States/Universities/Institutions. The counselling for successful candidates under 15% All India Quota seats is conducted by the DGHS.

In 2015, State Governments/ Universities/ Institutions voluntarily participating in the AIPMT for using its merit list for admission in the Medical Colleges/ Dental Colleges against seats other than 15% All India Quota are Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Odisha, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, FMS-Delhi University, AFMC-Pune, BHU-Varanasi, Jamia Hamdard-New Delhi.

AIPMT Exam Pattern
  • It is an offline examination and candidates have to mark answers on an OMR sheet.
  • You have to darken the circle corresponding to your response.
  • There shall be 180 questions of multiple choices.
  • Questions shall be asked from chemistry, biology (botany and zoology) and physics.
  • Duration of the exam is 3 hours or 180 minutes.
  • There shall be 45 questions from each of the 4 sections.
  • Physics – 45 questions, zoology – 45 questions, botany – 45 questions, chemistry – 45 questions.
  • 4 marks shall be given for correct answer.
  • 1 mark shall be cut for incorrect answer.
